Land at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, where our representative will receive you and drive you up to Darjeeling (roughly 3 hours). Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, soaking in your first mountain sunset. Overnight in Darjeeling.
After breakfast, set out to explore Darjeeling's landmarks — the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and the Tibetan Refugee Centre, among others. If timing and permits allow, you can catch the famous sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill (subject to availability, at extra cost). Evenings are free for a bit of local shopping. Overnight in Darjeeling.
Drive to Gangtok (about 4 hours), taking in the changing landscape as you climb higher into Sikkim. Check in to your hotel and spend the afternoon exploring MG Marg at your own pace — great for a coffee, some souvenir shopping, or just people-watching. Overnight in Gangtok.
Head out for a half-day trip to Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake considered sacred by the local community, followed by a visit to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir nearby. Return to the hotel by afternoon and relax for the rest of the day. (Nathula Pass can be added as an optional extension.) Overnight in Gangtok.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your onward journey home.
