Meghalaya means “abode of clouds,” and once you’re here, you’ll see why. This 7-day trip takes you through misty hills, living root bridges, crystal-clear rivers, and villages so clean they’ll make you rethink what a village can look like. Waterfalls tumble around every bend, caves wind deep into the hills, and the air always smells like rain. Dream Safar has put together this package for travellers who want to slow down, breathe easy, and let Meghalaya’s green magic do the rest.
Prices may vary depending on travel dates, hotel availability and seasonal demand. Contact Dream Safar for a customised quote.
Arrive at Guwahati (LGBI) Airport and get picked up for the drive to Shillong, stopping for dinner on the way. Check in near the scenic Umiam Lake and settle in for the night.
A full day of chasing waterfalls – Umblein, Phe Phe, Krangsuri, Tyrshi, and Bophill Falls, along with a stop at the natural Stone Bridge. Wear your sports shoes; there's some walking involved, but the views are worth it. Overnight stay in Dawki.
Start the day with boating and kayaking on the Umngot River at Shnongpdeng, followed by a visit to the Indo-Bangladesh border at Tamabil. In the afternoon, head to Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village, and walk across its single root bridge before exploring the village itself.
Onward to Cherrapunjee, one of the wettest places on earth. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, then trek towards the Blue Lagoon and Rainbow Falls near Nongriat. Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Trek to the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat and explore the limestone chambers of Mawsmai Cave. Return to Shillong for the night.
Head towards Khliehriat for an adventure-packed day at Krem Chympe – trek in, explore the cave passages, and go boating inside the cave's underground waters. Overnight stay near the hiking spot.
Check out in the morning and transfer to Guwahati (LGBI) Airport for your onward journey home.
