Meghalaya feels like a different world — misty hills, crystal-clear rivers, and villages so clean they’ve won global awards. This 3-day escape takes you from Guwahati into the heart of the “Abode of Clouds,” covering Shillong’s lakes and viewpoints, the living root bridges of Mawlynnong, and the glass-like waters of Dawki, before wrapping up with the waterfalls and caves of Cherrapunjee. Dream Safar has packed the best of Meghalaya into a short, easy trip — perfect for a quick getaway without compromising on the sights that matter.
Land in Guwahati and set off for Shillong. En route, stop at Umiam Lake (Borapani), ringed by green hills, before reaching the city. In Shillong, visit Ward's Lake, drive up to Shillong Peak for sweeping views of the town below the clouds, and end the day at Elephanta Falls. Check in and rest for the night.
Morning drive to Mawlynnong, known as "God's Own Garden," to walk across its Living Root Bridge and spot the natural balancing rock. From here, you can even see across into Bangladesh. Continue to Dawki for a boat ride on the Umngot River, cutting through green valleys and small waterfalls along the way. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Visit Mawkdok Valley, then Nohsngithiang Falls — the Seven Sisters Falls, a symbol of unity among Northeast India's seven states. Step inside Mawsmai Cave for a short trek through its limestone tunnels, then close the trip at Eco Park, with its orchid gardens and views of the Sylhet plains. Transfer back to Guwahati for your onward journey home.
