Tucked away in India’s northeast, this trip takes you from the mighty Brahmaputra in Guwahati to the rolling hills of Shillong, and right up to Dawki’s famous river — the one so clear, your boat looks like it’s floating on air. Add in waterfalls, cathedrals, and Asia’s cleanest village, and you’ve got six days that feel nothing like your everyday holiday. Dream Safar handles the pickups, the drives, and the little details, so all you have to do is show up and soak it in.
Price may vary with travel dates and hotel category.
Land in Guwahati and get a warm welcome from our team at the airport, station, or bus stand. Settle into your hotel and spend the evening exploring the ghats along the Brahmaputra and the sacred Umananda Island.
After breakfast, continue exploring the city — the Assam State Museum and the Brahmaputra riverfront are on today's list. Evening's free to relax at your hotel.
Drive to Shillong, the "Scotland of the East." Spend the day at Elephant Falls, Ward's Lake, Umiam Lake, and the Don Bosco and Air Force Museums, with time to browse Police Bazar before checking into your hotel.
Head out to Dawki for the day. The Umngot River here is famous for water so transparent, boats appear to float mid-air. Visit Dawki Bridge and Borhill Falls before returning to Shillong for the night.
Explore Mawlynnong village, known across Asia for its spotless streets and living root bridges, along with Jaflong Zero Point. Return to Shillong for your final overnight stay.
Enjoy breakfast, check out at leisure, and head to the airport or station for your journey home, with memories of Meghalaya's green hills and clear rivers in tow.
