Arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station, where our representative will receive you and drive you to Sibsagar. Check in and rest for the night.
Head towards Mon after breakfast. Perched at nearly 900 metres, Mon is home to the Konyak tribe, ruled even today by hereditary chiefs known as Anghs. In the afternoon, visit Chui Village, known for its traditional palm-leaf houses and skilled bamboo, wood, and gunpowder craftsmanship. Overnight stay in Mon.
An early start takes you to Longwa, one of Mon's largest villages and famously split by the India-Myanmar border — the chief's house sits on both sides. Return to Mon for the night.
Drive to Mokokchung, headquarters of the Ao Naga tribe and home to Nagaland's highest literacy rate. Check in at Mopungchuket, a beautifully maintained eco-lodge run by village youth. Evening at leisure.
Travel to Kohima, the state capital, set at over 1,400 metres and known for its blend of tradition and modern city life. Check in and unwind for the evening.
Visit the Kohima War Cemetery, a solemn tribute to WWII soldiers. Continue to Kohima Village (Bara Basti), one of Asia's largest villages, and Khonoma, Nagaland's first green village and the site of the Naga resistance against British forces in 1879.
Drive to Imphal, capital of Manipur. Check in and relax for the evening.
Visit Shree Govindajee Temple, a centre of Vaishnavite culture with striking gold domes, and Khwairamband Bazaar, run entirely by women traders selling everything from handwoven shawls to fresh produce. If timed right (April-May), don't miss the Khonghampat Orchidarium in full bloom.
Full day trip to Loktak Lake and Sendra Island for sweeping views of India's largest freshwater lake and its floating fishing villages. Continue to Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world's only floating national park and last refuge of the endangered Sangai deer.
After breakfast, transfer to Imphal airport for your onward journey.
