Wake up to misty mountains, sip tea grown right where you’re standing, and watch the sun rise over Kanchenjunga. Your Dream Safar representative will greet you on arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and drive you up to Darjeeling (approx. 3 hours). Check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing, taking in your first views of the hills.
Rise early for the much-loved Tiger Hill sunrise (subject to permit availability), then head back for breakfast. Later, set out to explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, the Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Centre, a tea garden, the Japanese Temple, Ghoom Monastery, and the Batasia Loop. Evening is yours to shop or simply unwind.
After breakfast, drive out to Mirik, a quiet hill town wrapped around Sumendu Lake with Kanchenjunga in the backdrop. Enjoy boating or a horse ride by the lake, pass through tea gardens and orange orchards on the way, and stop at Pashupati Market near the Indo-Nepal border before heading back to Darjeeling.
After breakfast, transfer back to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station for your onward journey home, with memories of the mountains to take with you.
