Discover the Last Himalayan Kingdom l Presented by Dream Safar
Tucked away in the folds of the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is a land where soaring mountain peaks meet fluttering prayer flags, and ancient monasteries watch over emerald valleys. It’s a destination where Gross National Happiness isn’t just a philosophy — it’s a way of life you can feel the moment you land.
With Dream Safar’s Best of Bhutan package, you’ll journey through the kingdom’s most treasured destinations — Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, and Paro — soaking in centuries-old dzongs, sacred temples, and views that seem plucked from a dream. Whether you’re seeking spiritual serenity, cultural immersion, or simply a break from the ordinary, this 7-day escape is crafted to give you the very best of Bhutan.
Touch down at Paro International Airport, with convenient connections from New Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Mumbai, or Bagdogra. As your flight descends between the mountains, you'll get your first breathtaking glimpse of the Paro valley. Our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel, where you can settle in and soak up your first evening in the kingdom.
Head to Thimphu, Bhutan's charming capital, where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. Visit the iconic Memorial Chorten, a serene stupa adorned with prayer wheels and vibrant murals, built in memory of Bhutan's third king. Spend the day exploring the city's unique rhythm — a capital with no traffic lights, but plenty of soul.
Set off for Punakha, Bhutan's former capital, stopping en route at the magical Dochula Pass. On a clear day, this mountain pass rewards you with panoramic views of the Himalayan range, framed by 108 memorial chortens. Continue on to visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan's most beautiful fortresses, set at the confluence of two rivers.
Venture into the glacial Gangtey Valley, home to the endangered black-necked crane and famed for its wide-open beauty. This day trip offers a peaceful contrast to the grandeur of the dzongs — rolling meadows, Himalayan wildlife, and a slower pace to simply take it all in.
Journey back toward Paro, watching the landscape shift from river valleys to pine-covered hillsides. Arrive in Paro in time to relax and prepare for the days ahead.
Explore Paro's rich heritage with visits to the National Museum, housed in an ancient watchtower overlooking the valley; the historic ruins of Drukgyel Dzong; and the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most revered temples in the country. This is Bhutan's cultural heart, laid out for you in a single unforgettable day.
All good journeys must come to an end. Enjoy a relaxed morning before your transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight, carrying home memories of a kingdom unlike any other.
