Kerala doesn’t just show you scenery — it slows you down. This 7-day journey takes you from Cochin’s colonial charm to Munnar’s rolling tea gardens, Thekkady’s forest trails, Kumarakom’s quiet backwaters, and finally onto a private houseboat cruise through Alleppey’s palm-fringed canals. Dream Safar has curated this trip for travellers who want the full Kerala experience — hills, wildlife, backwaters and culture — without the running around.
Destinations Covered: Cochin – Munnar – Thekkady – Kumarakom – Alleppey – Cochin
Land at Cochin airport or railway station, where our team welcomes you and transfers you to the hotel. Spend the day exploring the old-world charm of Fort Kochi — the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, the iconic Chinese fishing nets, and a stroll along Marine Drive. Overnight stay in Cochin.
After breakfast, check out and drive towards Munnar. En route, stop at the Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls for a quick photo break amid the greenery. Arrive in Munnar by evening and check into your hotel. Overnight stay in Munnar.
A full day dedicated to Munnar's beauty. Visit Mattupetty Dam and enjoy boating, then head to Rajamalai (Eravikulam National Park) to spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr. Continue to Echo Point and Kundala Lake for a Shikara boat ride, and finish at Top Station for sweeping valley views along the Tamil Nadu border. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Check out and drive towards Thekkady, home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Check into your hotel, then head out for a boat ride on Periyar Lake to spot elephants, deer, and other wildlife along the banks. Overnight stay in Thekkady.
Leave Thekkady behind and drive to Kumarakom, Kerala's backwater paradise. Check into your resort and spend the evening visiting the local backwaters and paddy fields, followed by a relaxed evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey and board your private houseboat for an overnight cruise. Glide through narrow canals lined with coconut palms, watch village life unfold along the banks, and enjoy meals cooked fresh onboard. This houseboat is both your ride and your stay for the night — a Kerala experience like no other.
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to Cochin for your onward flight or train, carrying back memories of Kerala's hills, wildlife, and waters.
