Meghalaya isn’t just a destination, it’s a feeling — mist rolling over green hills, waterfalls crashing down every turn, and villages so clean they’ll make you rethink what a village can look like. This 7-day trip takes you through the best of the “Abode of Clouds,” from the living root bridges of Cherrapunji to the crystal-clear waters of Dawki, with enough offbeat stops to make your photos stand out from every other Meghalaya trip you’ve scrolled past.
Whether you’re planning a family holiday, a trip with friends, or a quiet break from city life, this package is built to give you the complete Meghalaya experience — comfortable stays, a well-paced itinerary, and all the iconic spots covered without the rush.
Price varies with travel dates, hotel category and group size.
Land at Guwahati Airport and head straight to Shillong. On the way, stop at Umiam Lake for some quiet lake views before checking into your hotel. Evening free to explore local markets at your own pace.
A full day of waterfall-hopping — Elephant Falls, the scenic Mawkdok Dympep viewpoint, a short hike to Wei Sawdong Falls, and views of Nohkalikai and Seven Sisters Falls. Round off the day exploring Mawsmai and Arwah caves before checking into your Cherrapunji hotel.
Trek down to Nongriat village through forest trails and hanging bridges to reach the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Adventure lovers can extend the hike to Rainbow Falls (optional, extra cost). Return trek and overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Visit Mawlynnong, Asia's cleanest village, and its curious Balancing Rock, then the Single Decker Root Bridge in Riwai. Continue to Dawki for a boat ride on the transparent Umngot River. Overnight stay at a riverside camp.
Morning visit to Krang Suri Waterfalls near Jowai, followed by a photo stop at Laitlum Canyon — one of Meghalaya's most breathtaking viewpoints. Evening arrival and overnight stay in Shillong.
A relaxed day covering Shillong's local highlights — Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake, and the Cathedral Church. End the day with sunset views from Shillong Peak and a stroll through Police Bazar, known for its street food and local flavours.
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati Airport / Khanapara for your onward journey, carrying home memories (and probably a few hundred photos).
