Meghalaya isn’t a place you just visit — it’s a place that stays with you. Misty hills, waterfalls tumbling straight out of the clouds, rivers so clear they look painted, and a living bridge that took nature decades to grow. This 4-day trip with Dream Safar takes you through the best of it, from Shillong’s rolling hills to Cherrapunjee’s dramatic gorges and the crystal waters of Dawki.
Prices may vary based on travel dates, hotel category, and seasonal demand. Minimum 7 travelers required for group departure.
Your Meghalaya trip begins with a pickup from the railway station or airport in Guwahati. On the way, stop at the Kamakhya Temple and Umananda Temple before driving up to Shillong. Settle into your hotel and, if time allows, spend the evening boating at Umiam Lake. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast, head towards Cherrapunjee — one of the wettest places on Earth and home to some of the most dramatic landscapes in the region. Spend the day exploring roaring waterfalls and deep gorges, including the striking Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls. Step inside the limestone chambers of Arwah Cave and Mawsmai Cave before winding down at your homestay for the night.
Set off for Dawki, about two hours away, known for its impossibly clear river that runs along the India-Bangladesh border. Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal waters, then continue to Mawlynnong — Asia's cleanest village — to walk across its famous living root bridge, grown from tangled tree roots over generations. Return to Shillong for your overnight stay.
On your last day, catch a bit more of Shillong before heading back — stop at Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak for a final look at the hills. From there, it's a scenic drive back to Guwahati for your onward journey home.
