Manipur is often called the Switzerland of India, and once you’re here, you’ll see why. Tucked away in the hills of North East India, this state is a quiet mix of natural beauty, royal history and warm tribal culture. Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru once called it the Jewel of India, and this 7-day trip takes you through everything that earned it that name, from ancient temples and war memorials to floating parks and border markets.

Land in Imphal and settle into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the city, starting with the IMA Market, then the Imphal War Cemetery, Bir Tikendrajit Park, the historic Polo Ground, and the Manipur State Museum. In the evening, catch the aarti at Govindajee Temple before heading back for the night.
After breakfast, head out for a full day covering Keibul Lamjao National Park, home to the rare Sangai deer, and the vast Loktak Lake. Visit the INA Memorial and the Japanese War Memorial, both tied to major moments of World War II. Overnight stay at Sendra Resort.
Drive to Moreh, a lively town right on the Indo-Myanmar border. Check into your guest house and enjoy a relaxed day at leisure.
A full day for shopping at Namphalong Market, known for its mix of Chinese electronics, Burmese handicrafts, and goods from Thailand and Vietnam. You'll also get a glimpse of Tamu, the nearest town across the Myanmar border.
Head back to Imphal, stopping at Kakching Garden along the way.
Visit Andro Village, famous for a fireplace that's never allowed to go out, followed by the Santhei Eco-Tourism Park and the Khongjom War Memorial.
