Tucked away in India’s northeast, Tripura is where ancient temples, water palaces, and quiet eco parks come together without the crowds. This short getaway covers Agartala’s heritage core and the state’s best-loved sights — palaces, wildlife, and sacred shrines — in a easy four-day loop.
Land in Agartala and head straight into the city's heritage trail — Ujjayanta Palace (the former royal residence, now Tripura's state museum), Jagannath Temple, and a glimpse of the Indo-Bangladesh border at the ICP. Continue to Kamalasagar before checking in for the night.
After breakfast, set off for Tepania Eco Park, followed by the scenic Dumboor Lake and the rock-cut carvings at Chabimura in Amarpur. Head back to Udaipur for an overnight stay.
Visit the sacred Tripura Sundari Temple and Bhubaneswari Temple, then make your way to Neermahal — a striking palace built in the middle of a lake. Overnight stay near Melaghar.
Spend the morning at Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, followed by some time to browse Agartala's local markets. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
