Land in Bhopal and check into your hotel. Post some rest, head out to see Taj-ul-Masajid and spend the evening by the Upper and Lower Lakes. Round off the day with a visit to the Tribal Museum, which offers a glimpse into the state's rich indigenous culture. Overnight in Bhopal.
After breakfast, drive to Sanchi to explore the magnificent Sanchi Stupa and its surrounding monasteries and the Ashoka Pillar. Post lunch, continue to Bhimbetka to walk through rock shelters that hold some of the earliest evidence of human life in India. Return to Bhopal for the night.
Check out and drive to Indore, a city known equally for its street food and its history. Visit the elegant Lal Bagh Palace and the Rajwada, once home to the Holkar dynasty. Spend the evening enjoying Indore's famous local delicacies. Overnight in Indore.
An early start takes you to Mandu, a fort city wrapped in romance and legend. Walk through Jahaz Mahal, take in the views from Rupmati's Pavilion, and visit Hoshang Shah's Tomb, Jami Masjid and Baz Bahadur's Palace. Return to Indore by evening.
After breakfast, check out and, time permitting, pick up a few souvenirs from Indore's local markets. Transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
