Sri Lanka is a small island with a big story — ancient kingdoms carved into rock, misty tea gardens climbing the hills, gentle giants roaming free, and golden beaches where the day quietly ends. This 8-day journey takes you through it all: heritage cities, wildlife encounters, cool mountain air, and warm coastal sunsets, woven together into one seamless escape.
Walk through the ruins of a 5th-century rock fortress, watch elephants bathe in the river at Pinnawala, sip freshly brewed tea overlooking emerald plantations, and let the waves of Bentota wash your worries away. This is Sri Lanka, distilled into its purest form.
Touch down in Sri Lanka and receive a warm welcome from your Dream Safar representative. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo and settle in, ready to begin your island adventure.
Head into the cultural heartland. Visit the magnificent Golden Cave Temple of Dambulla, home to centuries-old Buddhist murals and statues, before continuing to your hotel in the Dambulla/Sigiriya region.
Rise early to conquer the legendary Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient palace complex perched atop a 200-metre column of rock. Along the way, stop by Pinnawala to see elephants at play. Continue on to Kandy, the hill capital and spiritual heart of Sri Lanka.
Spend the day exploring Kandy at leisure. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, stroll around scenic Kandy Lake, and end the evening with a vibrant Kandyan cultural dance performance — a feast of colour, rhythm, and tradition.
Drive up into the highlands, through rolling tea country. En route, pause at the breathtaking Ramboda Falls. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, fondly called "Little England," and enjoy its cool climate, colonial charm, and fragrant tea gardens.
Descend from the hills to the sun-kissed southwest coast. Arrive in Bentota and spend the evening relaxing by the shore, with the sound of the waves setting the pace.
Take a day trip to the historic city of Galle. Wander through the cobbled streets of the Dutch-built Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then return to Bentota for a peaceful evening on the beach.
Savour your final moments in paradise before transferring to Colombo Airport for your departure flight, carrying home memories that will last a lifetime.
