Package Overview
Tucked away in the folds of the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is a land where ancient monasteries perch on cliff edges, prayer flags flutter in the mountain breeze, and happiness is quite literally a national priority. This 7-day journey takes you through the country’s most treasured destinations — Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Punakha and Paro — offering a perfect mix of culture, spirituality and Himalayan scenery.
Walk through the courtyards of centuries-old dzongs, stand before the towering Buddha Dordenma, drive past the prayer-flag-lined Dochula Pass, and hike up to the breathtaking Tiger’s Nest Monastery, one of the most iconic sights in the world. With comfortable stays, daily meals, and a well-planned itinerary, this tour is designed for travellers who want to slow down, soak in the mountain air, and experience Bhutan’s timeless charm.
Perfect for nature lovers, culture seekers, and anyone looking for a peaceful escape into the Himalayas.
Begin your Bhutan adventure with a scenic drive from NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport to Phuentsholing, the gateway town on the India-Bhutan border. Settle into your hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.
After breakfast, set off for Thimphu, Bhutan's charming capital city, winding through forested hills and mountain roads. On arrival, visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong, the seat of Bhutan's civil government and religious authority, beautifully lit up in the evening.
Spend the day exploring the best of Thimphu:
Depart Thimphu and drive towards Punakha via the stunning Dochula Pass, offering sweeping views of the Himalayan range on a clear day. Continue to Punakha Dzong, set at the confluence of two rivers and considered one of Bhutan's most picturesque fortresses. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of fertility, before continuing on to Paro.
A day dedicated to discovering Paro's rich heritage:
(Note: The famous Tiger's Nest Monastery hike can be arranged as part of the Paro sightseeing, subject to itinerary customization.)
Bid farewell to the mountains as you drive back to Phuentsholing (approx. 150 km / 5–6 hours), carrying with you memories of Bhutan's serene landscapes and gentle way of life.
After breakfast, transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of a peaceful Himalayan escape.
